In 1955, five families followed God’s leading to plant a new church, and Parkland Christian Church was started. Twenty-two years after meeting first as a home Bible study, the congregation purchased 15 acres on Spanaway Loop Road – our current Parkland location.

In the early 2000’s we began to look beyond Parkland with dreams to reach the unchurched throughout Pierce County, specifically in the rapidly growing areas of South Hill and Graham. Ultimately this dream led to a merge with Rainier View Christian Church, a church planted 13 years earlier in Graham.

The goal to work together and re-launch a better-resourced ministry back into South Pierce County was realized in 2003 with the beginning of our second campus. Our Graham campus has been in its current location since 2010. As we started our second site, moving beyond Parkland, we changed our name from Parkland Christian Church to Rainier View Christian Church.

We have been part of our community for more than 60 years and we will continue to be a place where everyone is welcome. We'd love for YOU to be a part of our story.
