Can you believe that fall is here? The summer has just flown by and I hope that all of you had fun and relaxing times with family and friends. Here at Rainier View, we are committed to developing relationships through our small group experiences and Bible study groups. However, some of the most meaningful friendships begin with you and your investment in those around you.We want to begin the Fall with a couple of opportunities for you to invest and invite.
Invest
First, we have three Connection Points scheduled for September. The first is on September 20 and is focused at our high school youth. It will be an evening of worship, interaction, and fellowship and will give people the chance to be plugged into a small group. The second Connection Point is on September 26 and is designed with our college and young adults in mind. It will be an intimate setting where people in a similar stage of life can come together to find their own connection to a small group. Finally, there will be a Connection Point for everyone within our congregation who has been waiting for an opportunity to get involved and get connected. This event will be on Monday, September 28, and will be in the Fellowship Court at the Parkland Campus. If you have not found your way into a small group, I hope you will take this opportunity to get connected at Rainier View this Fall!
Invite
As for an opportunity to invite, we have a great fall production lined up just for you to invite a friend to come and see, hang out with you, and check out Rainier View all at the same time.
The show is called "Seeking Wilson" and it runs September 17, 18, 19, leading up to our first Connection Point event. Then on Sunday, September 27, the show will happen again for those who may have missed it the first time or want to invite more of your friends to enjoy an evening with you!
“Seeking Wilson” is a sequence of eight short scenes exploring the various relationships that are made throughout our lives. It is a humorous look at how God, who created us to be social beings, uses those relationships to draw us closer to Him while we experience life together with other people. It's a show that takes place in an intimate setting where the players are up close and personal. Some of the scenes may be familiar, some will not, but by the end of the evening you will have laughed, had your thinking stimulated and realized that it is through connecting with people on a personal level, building close relationships, and sharing life together, that we are able to experience the richer, fuller life that God intended.
I hope you will take the opportunity to invite a friend and join us for “Seeking Wilson”
Again the dates are: September 17, 18, 19 and 27 at the Parkland Campus auditorium. All shows begin at 7:30pm, and there is no cost for the FREE auditorium-style seating.
Connection Point is a fun and casual event where you can connect with people to form a small group that will meet weekly for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. Small groups are for people of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity.
Connection Point is the primary way to get into a group. At Connection Point, we don’t place you into a group — you choose your own!
If you are new to Rainier View in the past three to six months, View Point is for you! View Point is a meet and greet time that will be held after Sunday services about once a month. It is where you can hear a short summary of who we are, get an overview of our growth process, and find out how to get connected when you are ready.
Starting Point is a conversational environment where people can explore faith and experience community.
It is an ideal setting for people with questions about faith as well as those who want to learn about the Bible and Christianity in a non-threatening small group where your opinions and beliefs will be valued.
